TERRITORY
WOODS, VINEYARDS, A WORLD.

THE FIRST STEP TO OBTAINING GREAT LABELS: AN EXTRAORDINARY LAND.

An ancient land,

a modern wine.

Monte Netto is a priceless nature reserve. It is home to a 40-hectare wood and its oaks, black locusts, hazelnuts, walnuts and hornbeams. Surrounded by the woods are the 15 hectares of the estate Tenuta Le Gatte, planted with rows of vines, some of which are over a hundred years old. The resultis grapes that are perfect for producing excellent wines, of great finesse and elegance, for a limited number of bottles. In front of each row on the estate, a fragrant rose is placed as a natural sentinel to ward off parasites. And every day, gracefully, it reminds us of our goal: to become one of the best Italian wineries.

SUN, EXPOSURE, TERRAIN.

In a word,

the perfect microclimate.

Much older than the surrounding plain, the rolling hills of Monte Netto have some unique characteristics, such as excellent drainage and the presence of certain mineral nutrients that give rise to an extraordinary alchemy, ideal for the cultivation of the very finest grapes. Added to this is the particular microclimate of the estate, influenced above all by the woods surrounding it and which lovingly protect the vineyard. This creates the perfect conditions for grape production of the highest quality.

THE ROOTS OF OUR VINEYARDS ARE THE SAME AS THOSE OF OUR QUALITY.

Where our wine

takes its first steps.

In addition to recently planted vines, the Le Gatte estate has an inestimable heritage of vines over fifty to a hundred years old that have been conserved one by one by skilled, passionate agronomists. These plants represent a treasure that is rare in Italy, and that thrives and gives us so much satisfaction. Every day we work to bring out the best in Merlot, Marzemimo and Barbera vines, which have always been present in the local area, as well as Sangiovese and Rebo.
